Pulau Burong (Burung)

Pulau Burong (Pulau Burung) or Bird Island located in North Coast of Belitung around the beach of Desa Nelayan Tanjung Binga. The width of this place is around 2 hectare, it is surrounded by white sand and huge size of granite rocks that occurred around the coast. The uniqueness of the place is where one of the rocks stack of the stones are natural crafted and looked like the head of a bird. It is why people in the society believe to have given the name to be Bird Island (Pulau Burung) "Burong/Burung" is the Indonesian word for Bird and "Pulau" is for Island.

People are so fascinated by the look, and so the place is attract by tourists from all over the place. A Island that is perfect for us to have a relaxation, with family, friends and loved ones! A beautiful scenery that are far from pollution, sound of traffic and ashes. But just a nice wind blowing and a nice place for us to relax and having to spend time with less people and more private.

To get near the Batu Burung ( Bird Rock) in this nice area of the Island we can walk by the sand and rocks towards Batu Burung once the water is lessen, but becareful of the rocks that occurred many of sea shells that are sharp and slippery, along the coast we also can see seas animals like fish, shells, rocks, and many kind of them.
