Gunung Maras

Let’s explore the mountain of Bangka Belitung, Gunung Maras. It is located in Desa Rambang Kecamatan Riau iat, or 33 km from City of Belinyu. This mountain is probably the only mountain that occurred in Bangka Belitung. It is interesting because of its background story, a myth that has been discuss over and over again for many years and generation, rumors and believes for different people, some says that this mountain bring us piece, relaxation and release stress and bad vibes, it comes from just green native environment, it brings health to our body and mind, though, reputedly people also believe in “Buluh Perindu” a sound of bamboos that stringred to each other making it sound very melodious in nature, those who listen will strike by spellbound and never then come back home, lost in paradise. Not all people can hear this melody, but can you? Well care to come and prove for yourself.

Not just a mountain, but in Maras we also have waterfall in Bukit Maras Belinyu. This beautiful place is perfect for those of you who likes to go hiking and camping. For hiking is depend on every people but about 2 hours of climbing, you can then see the view and top which is the best destination called Palas. Palas is the perfect place for us to see the amazing view and scenery, also the perfect place for us to stay for the nights and build a tent. but recommended you to go with friends instead of alone, and dont forget to bring water and food all along the journey.
